“WALK WITH A UNIQUE COMPANION…”

Colin, from Dunstable, Bedfordshire, has been making crooks, staffs & walking sticks etc since the mid 90s when he took early retirement after 40 years in the Gas Industry. For the last 6 years he has attended Craft Fairs & Country Shows to demonstrate his craft & sell his wares.
Colin likes to use as many woods as possible and to date has made sticks from more than two dozen different trees and shrubs.
Most sticks are cut locally, with landowners consent, but some special woods, like fruit woods, are bought-in. The sticks are seasoned for at least 12 months before attaching handles.
Handles are made from various types of deer antler and rams & buffalo horn as well as natural wood and some imported exotic hardwoods.
Colin’s ‘signature’ sticks have ‘Wood Spirits’ carved into the shank in an American style.
