Colin Smith started woodturning at school in the 60’s, hooked from day one! Encouraged by the woodwork teacher he went to evening classes to learn more about the craft and to hone his skills for about 3 years.
Colin took up full time woodturning again in the 80’s, and was encouraged to try different types of turning by an expert professional. He now designs and makes pieces unique to himself, always looking for unusual pieces of wood, be they home grown or exotic hardwoods. Pieces of his work have been sent around the world.
Colin is a member of The Association of Woodturners of Great Britain and The Cambridge Woodturners.
